Hemrum is a creative studio that offers curated selection of vintage and antique objects for international shipping, as well as services within interior design.
We are driven by a love of the unexpected: hand-picked objects, timeless materials - and everyday magical spaces that take time to emerge.
We work circularly, intuitively and with a deep respect for the history of craftsmanship.
From blending Gustavian neoclassicism with playful elements from the 1970s, from heavy textiles to light transparency.
We are happy to collaborate with individuals and brands who want to create something with function, sustainability and soul.
Hemrum is based in Stockholm but we offer international deliveries for both art, interior design and vintage.

Our design philosophy
The places we stay in and the people we surround ourselves with set the tone for our well-being, our joy and our desire to create.
The name Hemrum is a Swedish word that directly translates to "homeroom". Because we know that through neuro- and eco-design, we can design for function, sustainability and soul. A holistic design philosophy where care and beauty open something within us. Something that allows conversations to deepen, ideas to take off and meetings to flow freely.

A studio from the heart.
Hemrum was founded by Josephine Thornander – artist, designer and strategist with a background in brand development and experience design.
After over a decade as an advisor to organizations, cities and cultural institutions, the longing grew for something slower and more tactile. Something where the poetry of craftsmanship could take its place.
That's when Hemrum was born - a creative studio where design becomes a conversation between past, present and future.
Where every object carries a story, and every room is designed to be felt as much as it is seen.
